La Massana ski resort information
Located in the Vallnord ski area of Andorra, the ski resort of La Massana is an affordable, quiet town linked by gondola to the well known Andorran resorts of Arinsal and Pal.
With an altitude of 1550m and the highest skiing up to 2560m, La Massana is a convenient base for most levels of skiers to go out and explore the surrounding pistes of Arinsal and Pal. Lift passes can cover all areas, with a modern network of fast lifts to serve all runs.
If you’re looking for an Andorran ski resort with access to plenty of varied runs, good snow conditions and well maintained pistes, but want to be in a quiet location, La Massana is a good choice. Not being as lively and busy as other resorts such as Soldeu and Pas de la Casa, the ski resort of La Massana is ideal for families with young children and couples alike.
Ski Line offer a fabulous mid-range half board hotel in this resort, directly opposite the main gondola. Access to the slopes couldn’t be easier from here.

Although not a lively, bustling town, La Massana still manages to offer a variety of restaurants and bars to give you somewhere to relax and a bit of evening entertainment after a hard days skiing.

La Massana ski resort has plenty of activities to keep you busy throughout the day should you take a break from skiing or snowboarding or don’t ski at all. Snow-shoeing, dog-sledding and snowmobiling are among some of the activities on offer. There’s also a children’s snow playground for them to have some fun in the snow. Why not also visit Andorra’s capital, Andorra La Vella, for some tax-free shopping and a day at the spa?

For beginner’s staying in La Massana, well run ski schools can be booked for you to learn the basics at one of the nursery slopes in Arinsal or Pal. Some easy winding blue runs are waiting for you to progress to and to practise your snowplough turns.
Intermediates skiing in the ski resort of La Massana
If you’re an intermediate skier, the Grandvalira ski area surrounding La Massana offers the perfect opportunities for you to ski down scenic blue runs, more challenging red runs and there’s also the chance for you to try some off-piste skiing!
Advanced skiing in the ski resort of La Massana
Advanced skiers might not be challenged enough here, with only a couple of black runs and some tree-lined off piste areas to try. A bus service from La Massana can take you to nearby Arcalis, however, where the more difficult red and black runs can be found.
