In a country the size of America it is not suprising that the ski areas vary widely.
By far the most popular of these with Skiline clients is the Colorado ski area, these include: Winter Park,
Vail, Breckenridge, Steamboat,
Aspen, Snowmass, Keystone,
Copper Mountain, Telluride and Beaver Creek.
All have exceptional snowfalls. The snow is very dry and powdery and very flattering to ski on.
New England's ski resorts are smaller, some so small you could ski every run in a couple of hours.
Stowe is the biggest and best in New England
The best in the East is Killington with snow cannons coving an impressive
864 acres!
Going west advanced skiers head for Jackson Hole, It's steep and deep,
and home to the largest vertical drops in the US.
California offers skiing in Mammoth, Heavenly,
Squaw Valley
and Northstar
If you like your skiing on the wild side and you can get down anything either on or off piste look at Alaska,
It's the powder capital of the world, its has about 83 feet of snow each winter, that's impressive!
The Park City ski area, which includes Deer Valley,
Park City and The Cannons offer well groomed pistes with something for all levels of skiers.
Champagne powder days feature often.
The Americans are very good at hospitality and you will see examples of this at most lift points where hot apple cider is available on cold
days free and sniffle stations where tissues are available to wipe noses and goggles. Most of the lifts are modern and fast.
Mountain restaurants are large, with franchise food outlets offering lots of choice but disappointing when compared to a quaint Austrian or Swiss mountain restaurant.
