Most of our clients booking short ski breaks want 3 to 4 days normally over a long weekend; we are able to arrange short stays to the ski resorts in France, Austria, Italy, Andorra and Switzerland to suit all budgets, whether it’s just the accommodation and resort transfers or the full package including flights.

Ian Blakely works for a well known Bank and is based in the City of London, Ian asked us to arrange a long weekend skiing trip for both some top clients and a few colleagues.

After looking at the best flight times to allow as much skiing time as possible, it was agreed that the Swiss ski resort of Wengen in the Jungfrau region was suitable for the group of 12; Ski Line arranged flights from London City Airport which departed after Lunch on a Thursday in March. Once the group had arrived at Zurich they quickly joined the train to take the them directly to Murren (one change at Spiez) Ian upgraded the seats to First Class so the group enjoyed a stress free journey in glass ceiling carriages with awe inspiring views, the train also allowed the group to get to know each other and socialise throughout the 3 hour journey.

Once in Wengen Ski Line had arranged 12 double rooms in a local 4* hotel, the group arrived in time for supper. Lift passes were delivered the next morning and handed out over breakfast and the guides we had arranged joined the group to discuss the day’s route for the various levels of skiers in the party.

Ian considered the trip a great success. “We loved the hotel, but the train journey was the icing on the cake, the group quickly got to know each other and the freedom to move around the train carriage was much better than had we arranged a coach and driven”
