Christmas Ski Holidays
Christmas is a very special time to take a ski holiday, the ski resorts take great care to ensure that the villages and towns look their best with street lighting and decorations and with Christmas events such as carol singing, firework displays and Santa visits making a family trip for those with young children extra special. Often the ski schools will arrange for Santa to be spotted by children on the ski slopes adding to the excitement for youngsters.
In most of Europe, Christmas Eve is the biggest celebration rather than Christmas day as we do in the UK.
Skiing on Christmas day is a real treat, as the slopes are often deserted but all the lifts remain open and the pistes groomed the night before leaving the slopes in tip top condition all day.
There's no need to miss out on the turkey -you can still have a few hours on the slopes first!
All our catered chalets at Christmas are dressed with Christmas decorations and trees, if you are booking the whole chalet for sole use and prefer to dress the tree with children yourselves let us know in advance so we can arrange this. Our catered chalets always offer a fine traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, this could be either at Lunchtime or your evening meal so please ask for more details. If you have booked a chalet for sole use you may be able to choose a time suitable for you, so if you would rather ski all of Christmas day and dine in the evening that's OK.
Our hotels also make an extra special effort at Christmas to make the festive season enjoyable with decorations and Christmas trees. Most offer a gala dinner on Christmas eve, please check the dress code in 4* & 5* hotels to make sure you pack suitable attire.
