Family ski holidays Skiing as a family has to be one of the best holidays for a family group, particularly if the whole family is learning to ski or snowboard for the first time. Where to stay on a family skiing holiday Catered ski chalet holiday have always been popular with families, they are far less formal than hotels and not as much hard work as a self catered holiday in apartments that can have restricted space. (Not all are small though, some newer developed apartments are now offer good living areas!) Ski Line offers a wide choice of chalets that specialise in family skiing holidays and many have in-house crèches and employ nannies to look after children. Childcare in Ski chalets Ski Line offer chalets with child care in around 20 French ski resorts, 6 ski resorts in Austria, and 7 Italian ski resorts. Our chalets range in size from small chalets for just one family to larger ones for big family gatherings or for families to share. New booking trends for family skiing holidays (all Inclusive ski holidays) Since that start of the economic down turn, families in particular have been looking to add value and make savings on the annual family ski trip. In 2009 Ski Line signed a major new agency agreement with Club Med. You pay one all inclusive price and that’s it, everything Apart from ski rental and travel insurance is included, and we mean everything, even lunch, drinks, snacks, evening entertainment, lift passes and ski lessons. Early bookings always get the best deals with Club Med; as prices in the late market are never discounted.
Club Med have hotels in 23 ski resorts in Europe, 2 of their Club hotels offer child care for babies (from age 4 months to 23 months) Children aged 2 years to 3 years who are still too young to learn, can still get lots from the holiday with play areas in the snow which are overseen by Club Med’s great childcare team. 4 to 10 year olds who are either beginners or know how to ski can take part in either half or full day ski or snowboarding lessons and advance through the grades with children of similar ability. Once children reach the ages of 11 years to 17 years Club Med really comes into its own. Full day ski lessons and end of week ski races all add up to the ‘holiday of the year’ for older children.
