Many of our team have children too so understand the importance of getting it right.
When searching for a ski resort remember you can search by childcare facilities.
All the nannies supplied by our tour operators are fully qualified in nursery care - NNEB, B Tech NVQ111, CACHE DCE3 or equivalent trained, all of whom will be native English-speakers. Skiline is able to arrange every aspect of your family child care needs, whether you chose one of our chalets or chalet hotels with its own crèche or one of the many resort crèches set up and run by the ski resorts. We can also offer private nannies to care for your children exclusively from your own chalet. Please contact us for more information or to discuss any special needs.
In most of our resorts we have fully equipped Nurseries, available to all children aged from four months to three years and run by qualified British nannies (NNEB or equivalent) and child care assistants, six days a week from 8.30am to 5pm.
The nursery day is structured to provide a happy and stimulating environment for babies and toddlers. A typical day begins at 8.30am with free play to settle the children in. At mid-morning they all have a snack, then those who need a nap can sleep in a cot in the quiet area of the nursery while the others have a creative session with paints, glue or other crafts.
Lunch is specially prepared by staff. We are happy to purée fresh ingredients for babies, but we also stock our chalets with a selection of baby food.
After lunch there is another nap opportunity and, for the more active, anything from music and movement to cooking. After an afternoon snack, outdoor fun begins - weather permitting! Children may be taken for a ride in a bubble lift, on a bus trip, out for a walk or simply to play in the snow. The days will vary according to the weather, children's routines and local facilities.
The day ends with free play, and parents are asked to collect their children by 5pm and accompany them at Nursery high tea in their 'home' chalet or Chalet Hotel.
Where we have more than one Nursery in a resort we put children of similar ages together so that their activities can be more tailored to suit their age and ability. Your child will not necessarily attend the Nursery in your chalet, and you will be informed of their allocated Nursery on your arrival.
Some of our chalets offer a Cocoa Clubs , this for 6 to 12 year old staying in selected chalets and offers child care while the parents enjoy their evening meal without interruptions! The Cocoa clubs are run under supervision from 7:30 -10.00 pm on six evening. The evening activities are very much guided by the children's own energy levels and wishes and generally involve videos, board games and card games. However one evening a week there will be a mini disco or other glamorous event
